Hi all, just dropped in to say hi. The occasion that brings me here is the op-ed piece in the New York Times this morning by Brooke Shields responding to Tom Cruise's criticism of her for taking Paxil for post-partum depression.
In what Brooke refers to as his "ridiculous rant" at Matt Lauer the other day, Tom said he knows about psychiatry but they (Matt and Brooke) don't. Hmph. Mr. Know it All.
Tom says that vitamins and exercise would have done the trick for Brooke's depression. Yah right. Not from what she describes--she was so depressed at certain points that she was suicidal and considered killing herself and her baby by crashing her car.
But more fundamentally, I ask--what business is it of his to openly criticize her treatment choices???????

Exactly. Who does he think he is? Oh. Tom Cruise. So what?
I wonder how Brooke came up in the interview. Isn't he supposed to be promoting his latest movie? He has seemed a little unstable himself according to reports of recent appearances.

Scientology has very weird ideas about psychiatry, mainly because the religion/ cult is all about brainwashing. You have to go through auditing sessions to get cleared, and they try to separate you from your family.
Honestly, I think there's even a free Katie movement. They're that creepy.
