Hey everybody, guess what I did today???
I got to have a couple of hours of the most lovely time with the very lovely and charming PartlyCloudy! She is absolutely beautiful, if you wonder, and I think it's safe to say that I liked her even more in person than I do via email, which is saying quite a lot. I'm still smiling about as wide as my mouth can manage.

We were talking about you! I'm sure it's all true, too... I was tweaking her because I wanted to meet you, and pouted that she got to and I didn't... (I didn't meet her husband, though.) She is just great.
Let's see, the only books I can really remember coming up were The Dante Club, which she's reading but not all that happily; Anthony Adverse, which I read this spring over the course of several decades -- seemed like 9000 pages, but really only about 1200; and Sabriel, which I just started based entirely on your recommendation, and you should start sweating now... (So far, so good, but I just started it...)
We went to a famous place in San Francisco, the Cliff House, which is right over the Pacific Ocean, and we walked down to where the old Sutro Baths used to be, and watched the surf and smelled the sea and the alyssium growing there. We talked about cats, quarantine, Oz, family, you, how much she enjoyed meeting you, how witty she thought you, and too many other things to count.
So, when are you coming to visit? :-D
