When I think of us old-timers
And all we've been through together
And especially at this time of year
We have an extra tough time.Just try to remember in our bleakest times
We are loved by each other
When we feel forgotten and alone
We never know who is pulling for us.There are very few break throughs it seems
For those of us still here
And I pray also for those whose voices and wisdom
No longer bring words of grace and beauty to this board.May God hold us all in the palm of his hand this season
When terror grips us and good memories somehow fade
In the midst of commercial insanity and war
May we listen for that still, small voice that says, "I believe in you and I will always be here for you."

Wouldn't it be wonderful to think that we mean as much as our lost comrades? Beloved Gracie? Sweet Sar?
(Or, maybe some do think that of themselves. Just not me. I certainly think it of others. And, I hope you know, Phil, you are one!)
At any rate, I do hope that we will survive in somebody's memory. You will be in mine as long as I'm kicking, Phil.
Sounds like maybe we need a Starbucks moment or something. I'm lower than a snake's belly my own self.
