Hey honey..
Sorry.. feeling a little caught in a whirlwind at the moment and not posting as I should be.. sorry.
I'm finding work really difficult at the moment.. I love my work, and am so lucky to be doing something I believe in.. but just finding it tough to get used to.. And getting used to the fact that just cos someone else is in a bad mood, it is not always because of me, and I mustnt take it personally and beat myself up and question every action I have ever made toward that person.
But, I have taken some proactive steps into asking for help.. I have asked that I can have a mentor. One of the girls I work with, who used to be part of my team but has had a promotion, is really lovely. She's suffered some of her own problems, and has a very "alternative therapy" approach - she's Iranian and has introduced me to some very interesting aspects of ehr culture. Anyway, I had a meeting with her over coffee on Friday and I asked her if she would be my mentor, and we are going to apparoach my bosses and ask if that is OK. She's someone who can give me feed back without me taking it overly personal, and if I do burst into tears she's not someone who would take it the wrong way, or as if i were trying to get sympathy.. she understands that sometimes tears are the only release I can use.
So, hopefully things will start to get easier.. I guess its to be expected that it will take some getting used to.
Anyway.. whats going on in your life? Sounds like you're finding things pretty hard going.. I'm sorry about that, I really am. Is there anything we can do to help?
Take care *hugs you*

2000 has been rather quiet. I haven't felt like posting-probably another personality quirk of the meds I'm currently on. These also have my cigarette smoking going through the roof, so to speak. I smoked way less on 120mg of Adderall. Go figure.
Nikki, I can relate to the work problems. Other than the part of doing something I believe in.
Every day it's harder to come into work so I've taken to prayer to get me here. I also just walked about two miles on my lunch hour so I can tell my doctor that I'm doing 'everything' to get better.
Shar, I hope things lighten up for you(and me). It has been a rough go with no end in sight-which is good in a perverse way.
Well, back to the land of nod.
Sad about Christopher Reeve; he was a real trooper.
Peace ya'll.Phil

Hi--I haven't been here much lately. And it does look like it's been very inactive.
I miss you guys.
This is the end of the thread.
