Totally off topic, just a note to you: I got a copy of "Well of Lost Plots" and so I'm back to reading "Lost in a Good Book". Loving it. *Adore* the names of the hapless SO-13, is it? Dedmen, Walken, Lamme, Slorter? Too funny.

Thank you for introducing them to my attention.

*grinning*

I'm so so pleased you're enjoying them! I wish, in a way, I still had them to read *lol* Must find a new author that makes me laugh, and writes so well!

Enjoy!! We'll discuss when you're done!

Stella Gibbons. "Cold Comfort Farm" is only the book most people know about (Rufus Seward -- yummy!), but she wrote a fair number. If they're available in the UK, let me know -- maybe we can manage a book exchange?

Otherwise, Douglas Adams -- the Dirk Gently books are fun. Barry Longyear, if you can find anything.

You think I could have got to 29 years old, and live in England without discovering Douglas Adams??!! *l* Its another of my vague author obsessions *giggles*

Will certainly check out the other author you mention.. will let you know if they're available here.. and a book exchange sounds fun!! *G*
