I heard this song the other day and it has been one of my *all-time* faves, plus it reminded me of Gracie (in the non-romantic parts) about how somebody can always 'be there' for someone. So, in spite of crying when I heard it, I thought I'd go ahead and post the lyrics, sort of...just wondering if anybody else likes it as much as I do. ....?

Right Down the Line Lyrics
Gerry RaffertyYou know I need your love, you got that hold over me
As long as I got your love, you know that I’ll never leave
When I wanted you to share my life, I had no doubt in my mind
And it’s been you, woman, right down the line.I know how much I lean on you, only you can see
The changes that I’ve been through have left their mark on me
You’ve been as constant as the Northern Star, the brightest light that shines
It’s been you, woman, right down the line.I just wanna say this is my way
Of telling you everything I could never say before
Yeah this is my way of telling you that everyday I’m loving you (so much more)‘Cause you believed in me through my darkest night
Put something better inside of me, you brought me into the light
Threw away all those crazy dreams, I put them all behind
And it was you, woman, right down the line.I just wanna say this is my way
Of telling you everything I could never say before
Yeah this is my way of telling you that everyday I’m loving you (so much more)If I should doubt myself, if I’m losing ground
I won’t turn to someone else, they’d only let me down
When I wanted you to share my life, I had no doubt in my mind
And it’s been you, woman, right down the line.Drums: Henry Spinetti

Jerry Rafferty was/is/was a crafty songwriter.
That album had some of the best songs that the Top 40 charts have ever seen.
Good music and a commercial success.
I still love the album. Good one, shar.

You know, I read this post, without reading the lyrics, when you posted it. (Sorry, do know the song, not my taste I guess.) This time I did read it.
You know what? The lyrics resonated with me this time.
"I know how much I lean on you, only you can see
The changes that I’ve been through have left their mark on me
You’ve been as constant as the Northern Star, the brightest light that shines"That's been you, all of you on this board, for me.
Thank you.

It is so nice to be 'right' every once in a while.

I am ok. Still here. Hoping my 'indigent meds' come along. I am nearing my last day of meds on this program, not that the WB folks truly care. But, caring or not, I appreciate the meds.
For those of you in the know, I'm ok.
What a life, n'est ce pas?
