I'm here. A little blue b/c today is my last day of freedom before I have to start work at the family business. I have not worked there in 8 years b/c my father and I had a falling out. Now the situation has changed somewhat and I am trying it one more time. I want to work part-time and hope it won't turn into full time. I also want to be able to get work in my new degree field. But I also need some income. Am feeling trapped and sad.

I missed you guys also- how are you feeling now? I took some time, felt overwhelmed with the termination- but I'm doing much better now. I'm seeing my therp on a fairly regular basis and I recognize how fortunate I am that she has stayed with me. She had me order a book entitled "Crash Course", on how to deal with somaticizing- not only as a result of car accidents but to use with other traumas. I really like dealing with symptoms this way, not dealing with specific memories but recognizing why I react in a specific fashion and preventing that behavior. I suppose it's just another way to say CBT.
take care, judy

Thanks for asking, Noa. I'm checking in, still here. My T and I have 2 more meetings. I'm thinking of canceling them because, really, I will just weep through them. She's been seeing me for a LONG time for free, and I feel it is appropriate to terminate therapy because I can't pay (very appropriate), but, it's just another loss to me.

Sorry I don't have anything more upbeat to say.

Nikki--vacation or not--get thee to a hospital!! If only to get checked out!

Shar
