Aerobic Benefit from Pounding Heart?

Posted by shar on December 9, 2003, at 9:52:05

I've been having a lot of panic attacks where my heart just pounds and pounds for a long time. I try to use breathing, etc. to calm down, and have even taken klonopin, but no help.

So, I was just wondering if I do end up getting some benefit from the pounding/racing heart (aerobic benefit). Anybody know?

Shar

Yuk, Yuk, Yuk, wishful thinking. Actually Shar, I heard Carlin do a bit on that. Unfortunately, it ain't the same.
Maybe you aren't taking enough Klonopin, that's my answer to everything..take more. I take 2-3 a day(1mg)but was really stressed recently and took an extra one at bedtime. Much better the next day when I got up, tripped and knocked myself out on the toilet lid. Didn't phase me at all.
Later, after falling down the stairs, I got in me Mazda B3000 and discovered a new stealth way to the grocery store...thru yards. You oughta see people's faces when you take down their fence at 15 miles an hour.
Anyway, when they put me in the cell, I made eyes at Barney Fife and that's why I'm typing this from the hospital where I have severe bruising, a cracked skull, and a nice smile despite my missing teeth.
You know any bail bondsmen?

Are you serious???

I hope you're not, because I'd much rather think of you being OK, but if you're serious -- warm thoughts for a speedy recovery that doesn't include a long term connection with Barney Fife.

Dang! What a disappointment to hear that I'm not getting much aerobic benefit!

Yuk yuk yuk -- If I tried your stealth method to the store out here in the boonies, no doubt my poor little red station wagon would be riddled with shotgun blasts!!

hahahahha in general--thanks for the many smiles, chuckles, and hardy har har's!

:-)- don't I wish? Try taking xanax sub-ling, squoosh it around under your tongue- 1mg?, 2?, and I promise the pounding will stop in an average of 7 minutes- really.
hope you feel better- judy
