General group hello and RACER damn it!!!

I just tried to post and got my message bounced, because I typed in the wrong password.

I just wanted to say that I was doing pretty well, despite some chaos.

First thing I notice is this mess about Racer.

Even if the resources are very limited, you can get an involuntary commitment if somebody else calls and she's super clear about her ideation. Up to 72 hours without a hearing.

Racer-- Also wanted to suggest church. The reason I mention this is not any statement about God or whatever (though I am an Episcopalian) but I'd heard that there were some support groups for people who had been laid off. I'd be glad to e-mail the webmaster for the diocese of el camino real if you're at all interested. This very practical stuff--networking etc. and community--especially the kind in the flesh really helps.
