Well, I dunno either. The pseudonyms are insulting, for starters.
But considering that Lou appears to be having a conversation with himself on that thread, I might consider ignoring it. Well, not ignoring it exactly, but definitely not responding to him.
At least wait and see how Dr. Bob responds to him because this thread of questions from Lou is for Dr. Bob about the supposed "policy" of asking someone not to respond directly to them.
Can you do it, Nikki?

GOOD. Better than me, cuz I already replied to him!! I don't practice what I preach all the time, do I?
But actually, I wasn't targetted so it might be different. I don't know why I responded though. I really do have this idea that Lou's brain is locked in the loops of neverending detail, and he can't help it. We really just have to try to let it go (funny thing for me to say since I replied today--oh, well.)

I thought it said "Drippy"!! LOL. No really, I thought it was drippy, not dippy.
OF course you're not dippy or drippy!!

Nikki, Why do I bother? I need to ignore, too. There really is no point in getting into it with him. Will you please slap my hand whenever I start to reply to the circular logic?
Thanks.

Ooops.. I finally kind of lost it and have.. erm.. replied...
I think I will get a ban for this.. but I think I'm only due for 2 weeks (and my 1 week ban was aaages ago, so maybe I'll be lucky and just get 1 week!)
If I didn't rant there I would have only ranted about it all to my when he came home, and he doesn't deserve that!!

Dear Nikki,
((((((((Nikki)))))))))
You wrote what many of us are thinking, IMHO.
Hope you feel better! Sometimes, a good, ole-fashioned rant is just what's in order!!!!

OK, I just read the rant. Does it help? I suspect that the release of the rant was undone by the follow up requests for clarification.
Nikki, I suggest you invoke the new policy and say that you do not want Lou to post any posts directed at you. Then, just stay away from the thread.
I'm going to give Lou a chance to reply to my latest posts, since I think invoking the policy after 'having the last word' is kind of rude of me, so I'll let him get his 'last' (hah) word in and then I'll ask not to have any posts directed by him to me. Only because I need to stay away, too. This stuff isn't good for me and I am pretty darn sure Lou cannot help himself. That's way I'm relieved Dr. Bob is back. Hopefully he'll stick to his word and enforce the policy, as well as call people on things like using nasty name distortions (he said he will not respond to any posts using name distortions!YAY).
I love it though that you are trying to not take it out on your hubbie! I'm sure he appreciates that. It also speaks to how much better you're doing, I think, than in the past.

I think Lou might need a Lou-botomy. I tend to ignore everything that has Lou's name on it. I actually find it quite easy to do because I know he isn't worth my time. :-)
lotsa love to you Nikki

Sorry, changing the subject!
Coral, I feel like a little kid coming for my head pats from you, but you are my auxiliary ego when it comes to keeping on top of my chores!
Today I went looking for my tax info. This required me to slog through the morass of mixed paper debris that blankets the kitchen table and chairs and carpets the kitchen floor. I got most of it picked up, picked through, and sorted into recycling, trash, or various bags/baskets of categories. I have the tax doc's although I still have to sort through one more basket of papers of the financial kind to be sure I have everything. I also downloaded from the web the tax table, and the 1040. I am going to file an extension, but to do so, you still need to basically fill out the 1040 as a draft. So that is what I'll do tomorrow morning. Then, I will go joing the "party" at the post office, standing in line waiting to send it off via certified, return receipt mail. My accountant once told me that it is especially important to do so if filing an extension.
My sink is still clean! And counters, and stove. I have been actually cooking food rather than relying on take-out. By cooking I mean nothing elaborate, for sure--just pasta, rice, steamed vegies, etc. But I hadn't used the stove top in months before that.
Yesterday, I took out trash and recycling, and did a few loads of laundry. Oh, and yeah, today I finally remembered to call about getting the washing machine repaired!! I have an appointment for next week. In the meantime, I'm using the communal machines, but since the weather is better it is not such a hassle.
Believe it or not I actually made the bed today.
Mind you, I'm on vacation this week from work--hence the extra time to get these things done. But even so, I've had plenty of days off when I just lie around like a slug. I think maybe the sun shining does help.
Ok, awaiting my ritual head pat from my auxiliary ego....

Dear Noa,
PAT! PAT! PAT! I am truly impressed!!!!! Not only are you keeping up with what you've already done, but you're tackling new projects!!!
That takes a significant amount of effort (which I WELL understand). You are to be most heartily congratulated.
You will get this done. I have no doubt about that. Be kind to yourself.
We, too, filed an extension. LOL
You actually HAVE tax records and receipts?????
It is my honor to be your auxiliary ego!
HUGS and pat pat pat pat pat pat pat and HUGS

I promised myself I wouldn't do it and good Lord, I did it anyway. Why oh why did I get involved??
*digging a hole* Ah well, at least I learn from my mistakes and I will NOT read anything further from Lou.I think I need a good slap in the back of the head.

I am doing so much better.. thanks Noa.. I chatted this over with my psychologist today (I even took a sample of posts with me so she would understand!!!) and she says she thinks I am doing very well in being as civil as I am being :o) She said she would be tempted to just "let go" and be very uncivil in this circumstance!!
I don;t want to invoke the "please do not reply" as hell, we all ahve built up frustrations, and its often good to have a focus for them!! *lol*
*releases a deep breath*

Drippy,
You wrote: {> You said [Believe it or not I actually made the bed today]

> I do not understand what you are saying here. If you could clarify this statement, I could better understand what you mean ;)}I mean what I said: I made the bed. I started with high quality red oak planks, and on my table saw in the extra room, I cut them down to the right measurements and then I sanded them to perfect smoothness. I then made the legs by attaching each 3x3 to the lathe and turning them, and using my chisel, I carved exquisitely ornate rounded legs with clawed feet. Then, with proper mortise and tenon ends, I fastened the adjoining pieces together with wood glue and clamped them to dry. I finished up by staining the whole thing a light honey-maple color. Of course, this, I did out doors because of the fumes.
Then, I gathered together the finest spun cotton and lengths of metal wire, which I fashioned into coils to make the mattress, stuffing it with the fine cotton. I then sat at my sewing maching and sewed together a damask silk cover for the mattress. There was no need for a box spring, as I had made the frame of the bed with platform slats.
does that answer your question, drippy?

When I make a bed, I wander through the woods on a warm, summer's afternoon and find a bunch of leaves . . . gathering them in a pile, under the shade of an oak tree, I adjust them just so, lie down, curl up and go to sleep!!

Please be sensitive to the feelings of others and don't post anything that could lead them to feel accused or put down, thanks.
