Noa Dear,
I should probably put this on the med board and I will if it's of any consequence. With your Adderall XR, do you ever purposely takes breaks from it to let your system detox a little? I've found that after a few months it starts to lose it's potentcy and I have to take more to get the same effect (I take it for fatigue, not ADD). But if I take 7-10 days off every 3 or 4 months and get it out of my system, it seems to start working a lot better. You have any thoughts on this?
Inquiringly Yours,
Greg

Hi, Greg.
I've heard people talk about this being an effective strategy for them, but no, I've never done that. I haven't had any lessening of efficacy from the Addderall XR. I guess I'm lucky. Also, for me, if I stop it, I really feel the absence of it big time! That happened a few months ago when I took an overnight trip--I forgot my adderall. So, I went one day without. It was kind of hard--I was sleepy and foggy all day. had I missed a second, or third day, I would have felt withdrawal depression, probably.
So, no, but I am pretty sure I remember reading about others taking those breaks to return effectiveness.
This is the end of the thread.
