It occurred to me today that summer is over. It is September, the Fall now (though technically I think we wait for the autumnal equinox). WOW! Where did that time go?!
And, 9/11 coming up on one year! It is incredible to me, it just seems like a few months ago. Time does speed up after the half-century mark, I think.
Next month is Halloween, followed by (OMG) Thanksgiving and Christmas!! I'm getting panicky already--these wonderful holidays may just do me in yet!

Of course for me that means that it is almost starting. I am so excited about spring & summer! Also means holidays, which aren't such a stress for me being so young & carefree... :) We also don't really celebrate halloween (and of course not thanksgiving) so its only the Christmas build up over here.
But I agree, this year has flown by. I can't believe it. My brother returns for a 2 week visit in a day. He has been in the UK for a year & a half. His visit has come around so fast, and I know its going to end just as quickly. I can't wait to see him, though, and meet his girlfriend.
About 9/11, I think I will distance myself from babble for the next couple of weeks. I know there is going to be a lot of grief displayed and I think I need to keep myself separate from it, and remember in my own way.

I can't believe it either. I home school my son, so we started last week- and my little one is a champion napper :-), so that's working out well. I was thinking about how to discuss 9/11 with my son- I know the schools have some things planned, but like Rach I find it really difficult to think about. I know I won't be turning on the tv much. take care all- judy
