Can anyone tell me about PB chat? Is this something you need microphones and speakers for? What time of day do you tend to have them (GMT time, please!)

It's done at a yahoo group Lisa. www.yahoogroups.com/group/psycho-babble-open

you have to become a member and then you click on the chat button on the left hand side of the screen. that's it. Nothin special. Just a normal chatroom like all the others.

Yeah, I've done all that... i.e. I've joined as a member and stuff (thank you for replying, Tina!), but what I need to know is, must I have a microphone to be able to go on it... or can I type? And how do I know when it is on and people are communicating. Because most of you guys are in the US, and are up at funny times of the day! Well, as far as I am concerned! :)

YOu don't need a microphone Lisa. You can just type. Go into the chat room any time of the day and there's likely to be someone in there. Otherwise, just post on the board when you want to chat and then others will know when you're in there and come join you.
You can tell who is talking because their name comes up beside the message. I think they all just type their messages, no microphones.
Let me know when you want to chat and we'll work it out together.
