I have taken up to 20 mg a day and I find that at doses above 10 mg the drug causes much lethargy and mutes your emotions on all levels. This can be useful for non-psychotic anxiety though.

my pdoc prescribed this for sleep and anxiety, really the later. I took a 2.5MG pill during work this week and practically fell asleep. Way strong. Further it helped my anxiety, but was really too strong. When I used to take valium, that worked on anxiety, and made me feel great. The Zuprex didnt have that valiumy effect. Let me know how your doing

> Does this stuff make you fat too?Yes, Zyprexa can cause significant weight gain. If this is a problem, and you still want to take an antipsychotic for anxiety management, then you might want to try Seroquel (quetiapine fumarate), which is a newer drug that has less of an effect on weight.
