I was prescribed Remeron for depression but it made my CTS much worse. I knew it was the meds because both hands were affected at the same time. Normally I wear a splint on my right hand at night. I started to have to wear one on my left also. Then my right started bothering me so much at night that I would wake up every hour to find a comfortable position, which took about 15 minutes. Also, my right hand hurt and tingled all the time. Needless to say, I called my dr and stopped the med. That night there was a noticable improvement in the CTS, and in about 3 days I was back to "normal".
Has anyone else has this experience with Remeron or other antidepressants?
