My husband is a vulcan. He tested 20 to 0 thinking versus feeling.
And that is a problem for our marriage, unfortunately. :(
But he's working on it.

Well, I should also say that having a balance between us of thinking versus feeling has its good points, too. He's great at problem-solving and looking at the rational and practical side of things.
We need all kinds in this world.

That's because you've never seen "me". hahaha! If I acted like myself on here I would get PBC'ed and blocked like crazy. ;-) I tend to say what is on my mind and nit pick until people want to smack me. Thank goodness I can yell my annoyances at my computer screen and not get in trouble. As long as I don't type too much, I'm safe here. hahaha!

it's quite obvious by the state of the world that we're living in that there aren't more idealists, isn't it?!?!
But seriously, I get into a lot of trouble by refusing to take sides, or offer a concrete opinion... And, of course, when I offer an opinion, I am laughed at and told to grow up just because I am an idealist.
No one ever tells a realist to try to make the world a better place, instead, do they?!? Maybe I should try that comeback someday...
Yes, Susan and I often seem to be two peas in a pod. And I can see a lot of gg there, too.
You're good at this...

I thought that was the whole point of the explanation...
Was there nore? Was I actually reading it as a pessimist instead of an idealist????
(please read this as the self-deprecating humor it was meant to be...)

oh my gosh, sweet zeugma! i'm so sorry!:- i actually thought about you being infp after i left the lab yesterday. don't know why i didn't think to post that...probably b/c you had mentioned you might be inf/*t*p..i was counting purebreds only..:-P just kidding. you know i think you are one awesome infp zeugma! i have the awesomest conversations with you! :) maybe one of these days you'll be more receptive to babblemail..probably about the same time i am, lol..some time *in the future*, lol. (my mindset has to be in the right place..jeez my personality is so convoluted these days.)

>hi thuso, hehehe. you're posts are great fun!:) i think i might have some of that penchant you mentioned above myself, lol...somehow it only comes out online, though...i'm a totally nonoffensive, gentle person in person..you wouldn't recognize me.:)
well i took the test yesterday, tried to save the results cause i had trouble posting here but lost them due to congested email...long boring story..anyway, the test results did verify that i was an infp...slightly expressed introvert, slightly expressed perceiving, highly expressed intuition, and moderately expressed feeling (it was like 20% introversion, 25% feeling, 75% intuition, and 20% perceiving.)
i knew i was near the borderline on those 3 traits...those 3 tend to switch around on me as far as test results (and personality) are concerned. and i think back to a j/p question that i impulsively answered differently than i should have...so the j/p percentage should actually be a little closer..anyway! phew.
amy:)
p.s. it bugs me b/c there is so much that is not in the infp portrait, even though that is accurate. i think i am kind of a mix of all the intuitive types. this is getting really self-absorbed lol. sorry.

I just wait until I'm away from everyone and then let loose. No way to hurt someone if they can't hear your comments.

Hi amy,
you are right, it is the T/F function that is closest to a balance (the others are quite marked). It follows that this is the dimension most likely to be affected by a psychoactive medication- Ritalin pushes the balance in favor of F, so I was feeling very INFP-like when I posted my peeved (just kidding, love the word actually) reply. I'm more INTP-like at the moment due to pdoc's orders. So your excluding me from your list peeves me less, and in general I'm less likely to get peeved at all.
always wishing you well,
-z

Hello
Just wondering what can be done to improve the INTJ personality type...
Many thanks if anyone knows of any weak spots ~ ways to make them better...
Kind regards
Nick
Ps - Thanks alesta for starting this thread, I've found reading about the personalities very interesting :-)

> aim:)Thanks. I dunno for sure what's up. Words aren't coming out of me easily (which is totally weird). I'm in constant pain from a nerve injury. I can't remember a proper sleep. Last night, the nerve was jangling. It was like pain popcorn popping in my hand and fingers. It's hard to put into words. And it's different different days/nights.
And I take five meds for the pain, and sure as hell they're messing me up. Oxycontin, Percocet, nortriptyline, Lyrica, and clonazepam. The last two were added in by a pain specialist, who I saw once so far. I think the Lyrica is messing me up most. Rock. Hard place.
And this block thing. I can only say I am deeply wounded by that. I'm a good man and I don't understand.
And I feel all alone.
I'm bawling now, so that's good. I don't wanna get the computer wet.
