can you please explain to me what it is like for you when you have to do things and concentrate? it feels like there is a glitch in my brain and need to know for my own sanity that WHAT i experience is normal?? Everything, even the smallest task is overwhellming if it requires more than basic concentration....so I would really appreciate hearing about others' experiences

Rainbowbrite, I don't know anything about this subject, but have you tried support/ informational books on ADD ADHD?

Well, it's probably that you've got your mind on the wedding and all, and now Phillipa is pushing for kids already!
But seriously. I'm like this too. If there's a task, and it requires any effort mental effor t esp. I get overwhelmed and paralysed. In my brain it's like a train wreck, or an incredibly messy closet - that if I open the door all the stuff will come crashing out. I just can't organize my thoughts. I also get sidetracked by a lot of stuff. The Adderall helps a lot, esp. with reading and prioritizing. I know I post this all the time, and probably sound like I'm beating a dead horse (what DOES that sound like anyway?!) But, you might want to check out www.addforums.com

i know, just wondered thats all...i think i may have a connection loose in my corpus collosum affecting my my frontal cortex and possibly my thalamus as well....things just arent processing well.
serious note: your right but I really dont want to be like anyone excpet me :-) just wondering how otehrs experience ADD symptoms...

Yes, this IS me! Maybe I should be the Spaz, or something like that. Hmmmm, not sure I like that! My husband says I"m klutzy. My dad said I was kooky. My kids say I'm.....well, let's not go there! LOL My p-doc said I"m zany. My T said I was irritable. Okay, if either of them ever did read here, I can just run and hide! I know the one doesn't because he works such God awful hours, insane hours!
