Keep my posts off Twitter. It's bad enough being archived and googled.

Please add me to the "no thanks" list as well. I do not want to be quoted, especially by posting name, on any social networking sites.

Add me to the Notwitter list.
Like it was stated before, it's bad enough our posts can be googled, unlike other mental health forums. In fact, the privacy issue (along with not being able to delete or edit posts like everywhere else) is the main reason why I've been trying to locate another forum to post at. Just haven't taken enough time to find a new, more comfortable place yet.
I guess it's different for Dr. Bob, who doesn't reveal his personal life shortcomings and mental distress openly. Put yourself in our place, empathize, and see how you would feel about all of this.

Here's the problem with this as I see it. I know we all agreed that you, Dr. Bob, could use our posts elsewhere but when does common sense play a role here?
"Publishing" is one thing, but Twitter is like MASS POSTING our private stuff to the world. Not sensitive at all. People don't take Twitter sensitively. It is not a place to mess around with your feelings or open up your soul.
I am a big Twitter user. I have a fairly big following and I follow many others. The chances of eventually being identified based upon what I'm writing here is increased by huge amounts. I happen to know that my T is on Twitter. What if she started following your Twitter account by accident? She knows not to come here. This is a special, private space for me. I don't know, too risky. I'm starting to feel like this site has become too exposed for me. I'm very nervous now. Also, I post things here that my friends could identify... then they could find me and see everything. Just a bad plan.
Also, I can't STAND the arguing and tension that goes on in this board and do NOT visit it as a result. I sure wish big announcements like this were posted at the top of our PSYCHO (or other) boards. I shouldn't have to come here and be exposed to these struggles between you and the admins and others just to see if my stuff is going to be used in a way that feels TOTALLY UNSAFE to me.
Please, just remember who you are and how much power you have to hurt. You provide a good service here, but aren't you supposed to avoid DOING HARM?
Thanks,
FindingMyDesire
