Well I wasn't paying for a therapy session, I simply asked a question. If it was about someone who nobody knows, they why not just say that? All I know it sure was funny for everyone, you included, for it being about somebody that nobody knows about. Plus there were responses that it was a "she" and that came to babble chat.
As far as it being about a babbler, if not me, than who? Okay, I get that you can't name names because that is uncivil. But wouldn't a poem about a babbler like that be uncivil in the first place? And not only was it started by a deputy (past or present), it was reinforced by 2 other deputies, and not even flagged as being uncivil.
So basically we can write stuff that implies others, even babblers, and if we don't name them, we can hide behind that veil of uncivilness?
All I wanted was honesty, not a therapy session, but I guess it takes a lot of guts to admit the truth. Didn't seem like a too aufully hard question, if it was just answered, instead of therapist tricks you learn in school.

Well I am not going to bother anymore with any of this. I think I will let other Babblers decide what they think about it.
Read the entire thread and then come to a conclusion what it was about. It wasn't just assumptions, and knowing the posters posting style and what was said in post following this, and the responses to this thread about it. I can be wrong about this, but sometimes assumption can be dead on too.

That's one of the beauties of poetry, imo. You can give life to abstraction. :)

Um Kaiser Sozee? ;)
Sorry, my monkey brain couldn't shake that association to your question.
Racer's right, in part, about why I didn't say my poem wasn't about you. Why would you believe a yes or no answer? I firmly believe the questions I posted above are sufficient for anyone to discover for themselves whether or not they are "my FU fairy". And frankly, I'm not excited enough about the attention now given my poem to want to answer anyone else individually, so I'm not setting that precedent now, sorry. Finally, there is no answer to your question, and I don't plan to make one up. Well, except for Kaiser Sozee.
So just to be clear, there is no answer to the question, "Who is the FU fairy?"

> Racer's right, in part, about why I didn't say my poem wasn't about you. Why would you believe a yes or no answer? Why do you believe I wouldn't??? Isn't that an assumption about me? You still didn't answer my question, was it written about me. My question was still skirted around once again in this exact post. Don't you think it would have been easier to just answer my question than to have to come up with a cognitive exercise in order to avoid answering it? And still no direct answer, so if I use Racers reasons on why it won't be answered. Has to do with civil rules, right? You are very clever in trying to not answer my question, but as a mother of 2 kids for over 12 years, I see through that stuff. And in therapy training, and in criminal interigations, and being a very experienced mother, you learn on why questions are not being answered, even directly when asked. It is very easy to answer a yes or no answer if there is nothing to hide. But I have enough of this, and I will let it slide by because I don't have time for games.

Please don't jump to conclusions about others, post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down, or harass or pressure others.
If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
Follow-ups regarding these issues should of course themselves be civil.

It sometimes takes time. We might be conferring or asking guidance from Dr. Bob. We might be away from the computer. Or we might be sick with a whopping cold and unable to think clearly or sit upright for long.
Please use some patience. I think Dr. Bob has said that if you haven't heard a reply in a couple of days to send a reminder, and that's likely a good idea since sometimes there is so much mail that things get quickly lost.
I have proposed to Dr. Bob that new notifications go into a checklist where they can be checked off as dealt with.

As an explanation about something that seems to be upsetting many people.
Often things are posted that can be interpreted in many ways. The writing board is particularly vulnerable in this area, and I suspect it's why great literature is considered great although I have never really understood great literature so I don't know if that's correct or just a projection based on my own confusion.
On occasion posts are brought to my attention that when explained as reported appear to be uncivil. But as I read the responses it is clear that others have interpreted the post differently.
I will not claim to be able to read gg's mind, but to me it is entirely reasonable to assume that she was talking about the internal voice that often follows us around to comment on what we've done in a critical way.
Does that mean that incivility can sometimes slip through in obscure posts or ambiguous posts (not speaking to this post or any post in particular)? Certainly it can. I know I often feel like posts I don't understand at all are in violation of the civility guidelines. But if I don't understand them well enough, I can't in all due conscience do anything about them, unless they are in violation of some other aspect of the civility guidelines. But the alternative, a draconian crackdown on anything that might be uncivil, does not appeal to me. If it appeals to others, they are free to suggest rule changes to Dr. Bob, without naming specific posts as examples.
I'll look at the thread again to see if anything was less open to different interpretations than the original post. If you wish to suggest posts to look at, please do so by using the reporting function rather than mentioning them on board.

I should, I suppose, add that context is important. A post in reply to another post gives context to the reply so there is less ambiguity involved.
