Thanks, and this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person, either.
If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please first see the FAQ:

period of time since previous block: 124 weeks
uncivil toward a particular individual or group: no
particularly uncivil: no
different type of incivility: no
clearly didn't understand PBC and made effort to reply: no

uncivil in multiple posts at same time: no

This thread started on the main board and after Phillipa asked if Jeroen was doing OK with his meds
it was redirected here.

What, saying that you can over rule a deputy's decision could make people feel accused?
I don't see it.. Please explain again.
How can someone saying you can over rule a deputy make someone feel accused?
A dense Nikki

If you go to the main meds board, you'll see the re-direction there. There must have been five or six posts before it was all moved here to Admin.>

> How can someone saying you can over rule a deputy make someone feel accused?I don't think you're dense. Dr. Bob quoting that particular part of 10derheart's post does make things confusing. If you look at the sequence of posts:
From 10derheart's post:
*>>if jeroen feels comfortable with you posting personal information about him on this board?..> Since I couldn't find any place this happened, I'm going to ask you to please not exaggerate, and also not to post things that may lead others to feel accused.
> And as a reminder, if you think there is a problem with a post and want Dr. Bob or the deputies to review it, please remember to use the 'Notify the administrators' button at the bottom of every posting window, instead of commenting on the boards.
> Follow-ups regarding these issues should be directed to Admin and should of course be civil. Dr. Bob has oversight over deputy decisions, and he may choose a different action.
Dr. Bob posted this, quoting the part of 10derheart's post that references his oversight, perhaps as an explanation for why he was also acting on this:
>> Dr. Bob has oversight over deputy decisions, and he may choose a different action.> You were asked just recently to be civil, so I'm going to block you from posting for a week.
And then to answer your question, he posted this:
> As 10derHeart said, it might have led others (namely, Phillipa) to feel accused, and if there's a problem with a post, we ask that others use the 'Notify the administrators' button instead of commenting on the boards.I think the "it" in this post refers to the part quoted in 10derheart's PBC post (see above *)
Definitely confusing, especially with all the intervening posts.
Hope this helps.

Do you see this at the top of the post:
[ reposted on January 20, 2007, at 14:25:46 ]
That tells you it was moved on that day/time, and then if you click on the word "reposted," that will take you back to the original location, in this case the meds (main) board.
I think that'll help :-)

Also if you scroll up the meds board you will catch a thread to Jeroen where he talks about how seroquel is the only med to help his geodon eye blinking. This issue with him and the blinking has been going on for over a year. He frequently mentions in that thread as well as others that seroquel is his med of choice hope that helps. Love Phillipa

Sorry, still not understanding!!
And, when did 10derHeart become a duputy? I don't recall seeing an announcement on that?
but then, the whole Dr Bob ad deputy thing is getting wierd.. I was PBC'd by a new deputy a while ago, and emailed dr bob to ask where the new deputy announcement was, but he said that they weren't "working" yet so no announcement had as yet been made. But said deputy told me Dr Bob had *told* her to PBC me.
I'm lost and confused..
I thought we were going to vote on new deputy's? Was that decision changed?
Sorry.. gone off on a tangent. I think alot of my confusion has come about from smply not knowing who is a deputy anymore. Atleast on other boards they tend to have something next to their name signifying they are one, here its becoming a guessing game!

>>please do not say i was exaggerating..
jyl,
I know you can't reply right now, but I wanted to respond to this because it's been bothering me.
Good point, and I apologize. While I stand by my PBC overall (for the other reasons stated), I shouldn't have included that in my post. After the fact, and after some more thought and another POV from Dr. Bob, I realized what I had done. My thinking was if *I* didn't notice anything "personal" in the post(s) you were talking about, then bam - that constitutes exaggerating, which is listed in the FAQ as something that can in some cases be considered uncivil. I imposed my standard of what's "personal information" on you, and I see now that wasn't fair. I would have had to find out more about what you meant, and I couldn't think of a way to do that within the guidelines, being sensitive to the other poster(s) involved, etc. Reasonable people will probably disagree on what's personal anyway, different comfort levels, etc.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know I'm glad you brought that up, I agree with you, and I'm sorry I included that inappropriate word in my PBC.
Hope your block goes quickly and you feel like coming back to Babble some more.

Hi Nikki,
>>And, when did 10derHeart become a deputy? I don't recall seeing an announcement on that?
There are six now. This happened in November, when ClearSkies, Racer and I were added:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20061018/msgs/702309.html
It took a while, as the process started in April, as you can see if you go through the thread.
Yon can check the list here, too:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#deputies
...but it may have taken Bob a little while after the announcement to get the FAQ updated...I can't remember...

ps - I think I could clear up a bunch of your other "lostness", too, but I gotta run get something for my new grandaughter right now! I 'll try to come back to this post later and answer some more, if no one else has by then.

A doctor calling the police to contact a board member and not giving any reason or explanation t o the board members when the issue comes out?. This is very scary. Not very mental health oriented I would say. Make me think is is a wrong place to discuss any serious issue.I think Dr. Bob owes us an explanation. This is iatrogenic!.
BTW why do you use Re: if you are note replying?.

I don't think you need to be afraid. I think Bobs policy is that of any professional. If he thinks you are truly at risk of hurting yourself or others, or if there is minor at risk or perhaps himself at risk, then of course he would call cops. I would too, and I HATE cops mostly. Some are OK I guess though. Ratting someone out is real bad in my world, but I would do it for above reasons.
As to whatever happened w/this guy above, I don't really want to know.
I scared of Bob sometimes, but i NOT scared he will call cops on me.

> I don't think you need to be afraid. I think Bobs policy is that of any professional.
ANY mental healthprofessional wold clarify any problem and would not let anxieties or phantasies arise.
I hope he explains, I am sure he has reasons, but as long as he does not give any he is not acting like a mental health professional.
