I hope so.
I hope you aren't too fed up with all of us.
I can see why people avoid admin now.
It is one of my favourite boards.
I always liked process over content.
And everyone knows I like to argue. But I don't like it when people get upset :-(
I still like it here.
I wouldn't like to have to do your job.Anyways, hope you are still alive and stuff.

Honestly, Alex, I feel the same amount of pity for the man that I believe he felt for Angel Girl. I think he's racked up a hellacious amount of bad karma at this point. Atticus

I don't think you meant that to be funny, (if you did your humor is drier than I thought) but it made me laugh. Yes, why have any concern for Dr. Bob at all?
That's how I feel right now.

Can't you people just stoppit
give it a rest
i feel sick
and weary
i feel bad for my role in all this
maybe i havent been as involved in an admin dispute before
i dont know what it is
but i dont feel good about thisThe more everyone is mad at him
the worse i feel for having started that stupid poll or petition or whatever it was
maybe it is time for me to take a break from adminit is just me i am not in a good place
but i really appreciate this forum
the opportunity to meet you all
i really feel that i have friends here
people who understand me and support me and i dont have that anywhere else
and while we may not agree with him on everything the fact is that he provides this place for us and does his best to keep it safe and even if we disagree with him on this one then we should not forget everything that he has done and continues to do. I went and had a look at another board and i was appalled and horrified by something over there. i guess it is allowed but it is not acceptable to me. i think that the civility rules are good and i really like it here and i just want the fighting to stop.this is a hard week for me
sorry

I dunno, I don't think he is on his death bed or anything or he would not be PBCing and Please rephrase that. I had surgery about give or take 2 weeks ago I wasn't up to posting and stuff for a couple days. Alex he is fine don't fret and all. It's nice you helped AG or tried. THAT was good of you.

Yes, I'm afraid that after I saw him block an admittedly suicidal, very supportive long time poster, for 36 weeks, for saying sh*t, it's pretty hard for me to believe he lets too much get to him.

> maybe it is time for me to take a break from adminDo you mean you think your poll might have contributed to people being angry at Dr. Bob?
I hope not, because that wasn't the reason, it really wasn't. You didn't contribute to it, people were already angry, that's why you had the poll wasn't it?There have been many, many admin debacles far worse than this one, and nobody had to start any polls for them to ocurr. They do feel awful when you're in the centre of them, but somehow things seem to blow over always, even the times when it seems that babble would never be the same.
If Doctor Bob couldn't handle it, he would get rid of the administration board, he implemented it, it's not always been here. He's a big boy, he has no problem saying no, that's for sure. Believe it or not, I was one of Dr. Bobs biggest supporters until last October, I used to send him letters when I thought people were being rough on him, I couldn't understand the anger, but I see things much differently now. I think it was Mair who pointed out, that it seems to be his biggest supporters who end up being the ones most angry at, and hurt by him.
I hope you feel better tomorrow, I really do, this too shall pass. Babble self-corrects very quickly. I promise.
it is just me i am not in a good place

Alexandra,
You dare to be supportive of Dr. Bob (or the program that runs this experiment) - very brave.
I love it when someone cares about the truth regardless of the consequences and the group reaction.

That seems true of an inordinate number of Babblers. Hence the passionate nature of the admin board.
Doesn't truth usually run somewhere between the two extremes? That Dr. Bob is neither hero nor villain but simply man? And like all of us has his strengths and weaknesses? And probably, like most of us, his strengths are his weaknesses turned from the other side. And that he makes good and bad choices, like all of us?
When he makes wise choices (or choices I approve of) I tell him. When he makes poor choices (or choices I don't understand or disapprove of) I also tell him. I just may tell him a bit more loudly. :)

Please take care of yourself.
you know today is the full moon.
The full moon intensifys all our emotions.
you did nothing wrong.
people will like or dislike Dr. Bob...
that's not your fault or responsibility.
Remember that's a reflection of where the poster is at.
Dr. Bob is not in this to be the most popular guy on the web.
He's here to offer a service for all of us to use.
Honestly, I am neutral about Dr. B but I love this site and all
you babblers.
alexandra_k you make this site worth coming to.
please step back from these emtions and take a moment,
inhale and know that you are appreciated by me and many many others here on babble.
my very best to you on this full moon day.

Angel Girl,
You've nothing to apologize for. What you did was stir vigorous debate about what some see as the inequities in the punishment system around here, and in the quality of administration in general. Some boats need to be rocked -- only way to get Capt. Queeg's attention. Atticus
P.S. I couldn't help but notice, Capt., that you deleted three of my posts on Admin today. I thought it was against your policy to delete posts. I thought that was one of your justifications for leaving Angel Girl to slow roast.

He deleted 3 of your posts? What were they? I find that very upsetting when he wouldn't show compassion for me and my feelings. I went through HELL over that word being next to my name, I begged and pleaded to no avail and then he just deletes 3 of your posts? I would like an explanation for this Dr. Bob. I promised you I would be good and I have but you have to play fair too. :(
I would like to know what these 3 posts were.
